Nassau Detectives were conducting an investigation on Talmadge Drive, Baldwin when they observed smoke emanating from a residence.
The Public Information Office reports on a Residential Fire that occurred on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 8:47 PM in Baldwin.
According to Police, Nassau Detectives were conducting an investigation on Talmadge Drive, Baldwin when they observed smoke emanating from a residence. Detectives made entry into the home to search for any occupants until they were driven back by heavy smoke, heat and flames.
Officers from the Emergency Services Unit (ESU) and Baldwin Fire Department members were able to later make entry inside and located an adult male with extensive burns. The aided was removed and transported to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 12:00 PM.
The investigation is ongoing.
