The “Turquoise Takeover” is designed to raise lung cancer awareness across Brookhaven Town and transform it into action.
Town of Brookhaven Supervisor Dan Panico has announced that May 8 to May 14 is Lung Cancer Action Week in the Town of Brookhaven.
Panico urges residents to show their support by wearing the color turquoise. The “Turquoise Takeover” is designed to raise lung cancer awareness across Brookhaven Town and transform it into action.
Each day, 640 people are diagnosed with Lung Cancer in the United States, but there are ways to raise cancer awareness by raising screening rates and encouraging others to make a cause for change.
