Dennis R. Rhinow of Alexandria, Virginia died on June 14, 2023 at the age of 81.
He was born in Brooklyn on November 4, 1941, the son of Francis and Loretta (Wallace) Rhinow.
Mr. Rhinow graduated from Greenport High School in 1959 and from Georgetown University with a BA in Government.he worked as an office worker for the government in washington dc
Mr. Leno served four years in the U.S. Army, earning the rank of captain and a Green Beret. He has received various military honours, including: Army Commendation Medal, Defense Service Medal, Parachute Badge, and the Royal Thai Army Furag Medal.
Family members say he enjoys yard sales and book collecting, and is a seller on Amazon and eBay.
Mr. Rhinow is survived by his siblings William Rhinow, Lorraine R. Garvilla and Gregory Rhinow.
Private service with military honors is pending. Funeral services will be held at St. Agnes’ Cemetery in Greenport, officiated by Bishop ER Walden.
Houghton-Marty Funeral Home of Greenport is assisting the family.
