The accident happened on Saturday, July 22 at around 2pm in Bohemia.
Suffolk County police said the 54-year-old victim was riding his electric bicycle heading south on the shoulder of Lakeland Parkway, just south of Smithtown Boulevard, when it collided with a 2023 Ford Mustang traveling southbound in the right-hand lane.
The woman, Melissa Turner, from Bohemia, was taken by ambulance to South Shore University Hospital in Gulf Shores, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Bronco, a 32-year-old Sayville man, was not injured.
