According to Suffolk County Police, the incident happened on Thursday, July 13 at Encore in the Lake Grove Apartments.
Investigators said the delivery driver punched the victim in the face after getting out of the vehicle. The victim was treated in hospital and is not life-threatening.
It was not immediately clear what led to the alleged attack.
Police released a photo showing the suspect carrying a bag of Popeye fried chicken food.
