The freeway will be closed in both directions at the Horse Block Road exit (Exit 65) from 10:00 p.m. Monday, July 24 until 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 25.
New York State Department of Transportation officials said that due to bridge maintenance work, a section of the Long Island Expressway through Brookhaven Township is expected to be closed for two consecutive nights, and residents are encouraged to adjust their travel plans accordingly.

During construction, motorists will be detoured to a nearby access road.
