According to Nassau County Police, the incident occurred at 3:20 a.m. on Thursday, June 20 in Baldwin.

An employee at the Royal Roti Shop at 1747 Grand Avenue reported the burglary to police.

When police arrived, they noticed that the door had been forced open with a crowbar, causing hundreds of dollars in damage.

Once inside the restaurant, the two suspects allegedly dragged an ATM to the door of the store and destroyed it in order to steal the cash.

In addition, thieves smashed employee tip jars and stole cash from them.

Police said they fled the restaurant on foot and ran in an unknown direction through the back door.

It has not yet been reported how much money was stolen from the Royal Roti store.

The suspects are described as males of medium build.

One burglar was wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants, face mask and black shoes.

The other was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, red face mask, black shoes and black gloves.
