On Sunday, July 16, the system moved from west to east, producing heavy rainfall.

Parts of the region have seen 1 to 2 inches of rain early Sunday morning.

Flash flooding has been reported in creeks, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses, and other poorly drained and low-lying areas.

Sunday’s high temperature will reach above 70 degrees Fahrenheit, with extremely high humidity.

The first few days of the workweek were hot and humid, with Monday, July 17 and Tuesday, July 18 being sunny and cloudy with temperatures above 80 degrees on both days.

Scattered thunderstorms are possible Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Wednesday, July 19 is expected to be sunny with highs in the 80s.
