Three passengers were taken to Stony Brook Hospital.
A motorboat crashed into Port Jefferson’s East Pier around 11 p.m. last night, according to Suffolk County Police reports.
According to police, “On Saturday, July 15 at approximately 11:10 p.m., officers from the Suffolk County Police Department’s Maritime Division responded to the incident on board the Marine Delta after a vessel struck the East Pier at the entrance to Port Jefferson. reacted.”
Three occupants of the wrecked ship were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for minor injuries.
Port Jefferson is said to be pulling the boat off the pier on Sunday.
