When 75-year-old Donna May Ormond passed away on July 5, 2023, she received her wings and walked with an angel.

Donna was born on July 20, 1947 in Greenport, New York, to Donald Ormond and Mildred Finno. During her lifetime, she lived in many states, including California, Texas, and Utah.

Donna is a proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Always adventurous, she loves to travel and see her family. She enjoys bowling, dances, is inspired by music, and is an avid reader. She even went skydiving at the age of 73!

Most of all, Donna will be remembered for her immense love, devotion and passion for her family and all those she cared about. She was the greatest cheerleader of their lives and they will always remember her playing games, creating art projects, and enjoying the food she loved to make – especially the peanut butter surprises. She would talk and visit with her family for hours, listening, sharing and loving every moment.

Donna extended her love to her beloved dog Bella, a cherished companion for the last 14 years of her life. Bella brought great joy, comfort, and unconditional love to Donna’s day, and their relationship was truly special.

Donna preceded her father Donald Ormond, mother Mildred Finno and sister Diane Ormond.

Donna is survived by a younger brother, Thomas Ormond, of Mattituck, New York. Her son, Michael Downey, and wife, Christine, are from Ione, California; daughter, Karen Bonin, and husband, Hud, are from Texas Kennedy, Texas; and daughter Joanne Downey, of Sandy, Utah. She also has nine grandchildren: Desiree Thaler-Downey, Patrick Thaler-Downey, Nicholas Bonin, Erica Bonin, Makaya Cook, Quinton Cook, Ethan Cook, Landon Cook and Jaida Cook. In addition, she survives two great-grandchildren: Christopher Bridges Bonin and Gaia Moon Cook.

There will be an event in the future celebrating her wonderful life.
