According to Suffolk County Police, the suspect walked into Webster Bank in Patchogue on the Sunrise Highway just after 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 13.

As in previous robberies, the woman was wearing a motorcycle helmet and handed the teller a note demanding cash. She also threatened violence unless her demands were met.

The teller complied, and the woman fled with an undisclosed amount of cash on a waiting motorcycle.

She was last seen traveling west on Sunrise Service North Road.

No employees or customers were injured in the disaster.

A few days earlier, on Monday, July 10, another woman wearing a helmet robbed the TD Bank at Lake Ronkonkoma on Portion Road.

The incident happened hours after Yaphank Chase’s attempted bank robbery. In both cases, the woman fled on a waiting motorcycle.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the robbery to contact the Major Crimes Unit at 631-852-6555, or crime stopper 1-800-220-TIPS.
