Located at 501 Main Street, Islip, Bayberry will open in early June 2023 under the direction of Executive Chef William Muzio.

“The restaurant pays homage to Islip’s seafaring history with a vibrant menu that focuses on local catch and innovative ideas,” reads its website.

For those who prefer to be from the land, Bayberry offers a variety of salads and pastas, as well as steaks, burgers, chicken and French rib sauce.

For dessert, there are six desserts, including passion fruit coconut creme brulee, strawberry banana triple milk and flourless chocolate mousse cake.

In the short time since it opened, Bayberry has received a number of positive reviews cry Page. One hailed the restaurant’s “extensive” drinks menu.

“Amazing cocktails, surprising appetizers, attentive service and a warm atmosphere,” writes Allie W. of South Carolina on Yelp.

“The standout was the Mint Vimlet cooler – super refreshing and perfectly balanced. Same as the Paloma, but with a spicy smokiness.”

Another reviewer raved about the restaurant’s “beautiful” interior, saying it had an “elegant look and feel”.
