With the exception of Josh Knoth’s father, Karl, there may be no one like Patchogue-Medford baseball coach Anthony Frascogna and Frascogna. Lascona’s son, Bryan, gets a closer look at the young pitcher’s progress over the past decade — from Youth League star to 2023 MLB rookie.

Frascona and Carl North have coached Josh since he was in elementary school. Meanwhile, Bryan was behind the plate as North’s battery partner, catching his nasty steals and perfect play.

On Monday, a day after North was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with the 33rd pick in the 2023 MLB draft, Frascona posted an emotional video photo montage documenting the Josh North’s inspiring tough ride.

Anthony Frascogna, who was with North and his family, teammates and friends when North’s draft was announced, said, “It’s been awesome to be a part of something so amazing. “Just to be part of that life-changing event…indescribable, blissful.”

North was nearly untouchable on the mound this spring, 109 strikeouts in 41 innings And allowed only five hits (all singles) and one run. He had a perfect game with 19 strikeouts.

As Suffolk County’s Most Outstanding Player, North, a two-time Carl Yastrzemsky Award winner, had previously committed to playing at the University of Mississippi. But the prospect of signing a lucrative contract makes North likely to play minor league ball for the Brewers. He joined before he turned 18 in August.
