Hudson Valley MilMar Food Group LLC of Goshen Village in Orange County is recalling 1,200 Spring Valley Potato Pancakes because they may contain undeclared milk.

In announcing the recall, the FDA said people who are allergic or severely sensitive to milk may experience serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the products.

Spring Valley Potato Pancakes have shipped to distributors and retailers in New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Florida with ship dates of Thursday, June 1, 2023 through Wednesday, July 5, 2023.

The FDA said it initiated the voluntary recall after consumer complaints revealed that products containing milk may have been packaged in packaging that did not indicate the presence of milk.

Subsequent investigations revealed that the underlying problem was caused by a temporary failure in the company’s packaging process.

The carton has a net weight of 13 ounces and contains six individual crepes. The affected batch is 1513MMR7831RE (can be found on the top of the carton) and the UPC is 813801 00321 on the back of the carton.

No illness has been reported so far.
