The incident happened at about 9:10pm on Thursday, July 6, at Bay Shore.
Suffolk County police say a 23-year-old Bay Shore man was driving a 2009 Suzuki motorcycle southbound on Fifth Avenue when it crashed into the driver’s side door of a 2003 Honda sedan that was passing Travel east at the Dowsing Avenue intersection.
He was taken to South Shore University Hospital in Gulf Shores in a critical condition.
The driver of the Honda, a 20-year-old Wangan man, was taken to the same hospital where he was treated in a non-life-threatening manner.
