A woman driving a 2014 Ford Mustang attempted a left turn into a parking lot when she was struck by two southbound SUVs, police said.


On the morning of Thursday, July 6, detectives from the Suffolk County Police Unit 5 were investigating a crash in Medford in which a man driving an SUV was seriously injured.


At around 12:10 a.m., Emily Farrington was driving a 2014 Ford Mustang northbound on Route 112, trying to make a left turn into a parking lot when she was struck by two southbound SUVs.


Tomeik Young, 23, of Nakashima, was driving a Suzuki 450 off-road vehicle and was taken to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue with serious injuries. A passenger in the Suzuki, 17-year-old Deandre Henderson of Bellport, was taken to the same hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Kashaun Parrish, 20, of Bellport, who was driving a Honda 150 SUV, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Farrington, 18, of Medford, was uninjured.


All vehicles were impounded for security checks. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact Team Five at 631-854-8552.


A criminal charge is a charge. Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
