The crash involved a car and an SUV in the center lane on Saturday morning, July 1 near Jacksonville.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, one of the vehicles slowed or stopped on a bridge between Florida and Georgia around 7:40 a.m.
The victims were all from small villages on the Sound Shore of Long Island. Their ages are 10, 12 and 14 years old.
Three others were seriously injured.
The identities of those involved have not been released.
