The arrests took place Tuesday, June 27 at Cloud Smoke Cigar & Convenience in the Huntington Station on East 11th Street.
According to Suffolk County Police, when executing a search warrant at the business, officers found “substantial quantities” of marijuana concentrate, marijuana, packaging devices and flavored vaping products.
The department released a photo showing dozens of illegal products that were reportedly seized.
The following employees were arrested at the scene:
- Bassam Mohammad Yafay30, of Yonkers; was charged with one count of unauthorized sale of marijuana without a license.
- Mohamed Mubarez36, of the Bronx; was charged with two counts of selling a marijuana product without a license and one count of third-degree unlawful possession of marijuana.
Both were given notices to appear at Central Islip 1 Local Court and later released.
The Town of Huntington issued multiple violations against the business.
