HIG Growth Partners founder Tony Tamer is tearing down his $25 million waterfront project at Sunset Keys in Miami Beach.

Tamer’s KIC2315 Lake LLC purchased the home at 2315 Lake Avenue from the trust named after the address, records show. The real seller is unknown.

Danny Hertzberg of Coldwell Banker Jills Zeder Group handled the listing, while Jill Hertzberg, also of Coldwell Banker Jills Zeder Group, brought in buyers.

Tamer is co-founder and co-CEO of HIG Capital, a global private equity firm headquartered in Miami. HIG manages assets worth more than $56 billion and its current portfolio includes more than 100 companies.

The trust that sold the nearly 0.7-acre property at Sunset Isle III paid $9.9 million in 2019, records show. The 1941 home has six bedrooms, six bathrooms and nearly 4,700 square feet. The listing shows the property has 160 feet of waterfront, dock and pool.

It was advertised as an opportunity to “build your dream home” and was listed in October for $30 million, according to Realtor.com.

Also in the Sunset Keys, developer couple Jackie Soffer and Craig Robins sold their beachfront mansion in February for $45 million. The home features a bathroom designed by architect Zaha Hadid, the couple’s late friend.

Homes on the Miami Beach island have sold for a lot in recent weeks. Former Dodgers outfielder Alex Guerrero sold a beachfront-spec home on Palm Island earlier this week for $17.2 million. Also this month, a home on Hibiscus Island sold for $16.2 million. Beachfront properties remain in high demand, whether on the island or not. Jeweler Paul Morelli sold his beachfront North Bay Road mansion earlier this month for $22.9 million.
