The XFL puts together Jack Coan highlights, showcases the talent of the Sayville product and makes it clear why three NFL teams invited him to practice this spring.

The San Antonio Bramas rookie quarterback dazzled in the eight-minute “Best of Jack Cohen,” the league posted to YouTube on Sunday, rushing out of the pocket to create and pass with authority downfield. The ball and the completed pass.

Cohen, 24, nearly led Spurs to playoffs The XFL’s return season, with 1,403 passing yards, 6 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. He also carried 26 times for 108 yards.

An undrafted free agent who worked out for Indianapolis in the 2022 preseason and became one of the Colts’ final draft picks, he was invited to try out by several other teams last fall. This spring, he worked out with the New York Jets, Seattle and San Francisco.

Cohen, a Sewell Class of 2017, excelled in college, playing three seasons for Wisconsin and playing his final season at Notre Dame in 2021.

With the Fighting Irish, he threw for over 3,100 yards with 25 touchdowns and seven interceptions. The team went 11-2, including a disastrous loss to Oklahoma State in the Fiesta Bowl.
