Riverhead police are reporting that a Mattituck man has died from injuries sustained in a tragic car crash in James Port last week.
Police say Jairon Canahui, 30, was involved in a car accident at an intersection on Sound Avenue around 1:45 a.m. on Monday, June 19. He later died on the morning of Monday, June 26.
Hetou police said the investigation is still ongoing, but there are currently no suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact Riverhead Police at 631-727-4500.
