Lawmaker Drucker said: “We owe a debt of love to the men and women who saved the world from the evil clutches of the Nazis during World War II.”


Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) honored World War II heroes at a recent special event at the Museum of the Armor of America.


Part of the museum’s annual World War II weekend, which pays homage to America’s “Greatest Generation” and their heroic defense of freedom around the world, it includes portraits of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Sheriff Living historian of world leaders, including the German tank crew. They combine with the museum’s extensive collection of historic weapons to create an immersive and evocative experience for visitors.


“We will be forever grateful to the men and women who saved the world from the evil clutches of the Nazis with valor and determination during World War II,” said lawmaker Drucker. The sacrifice is on all of our minds, and I thank Gary Lewis and everyone at the museum for their tireless efforts to educate the public through immersive programming like World War II Weekend.”
