Dennis Leon Kaser, former member of Southold, died on June 14, 2023 in Williamsville, New York, at the age of 82. Dennis is a man of God who loves family, reading, the outdoors, nature and candy, and is deeply committed to changing the world.
During his lifetime, he and his wife, Sandra, volunteered in third world countries (Mexico, Haiti, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic). They devote their time and resources to educating underprivileged children at home and abroad.
Dennis and his family spent many years in Nova Scotia, where he worked as a math and science teacher. Throughout Dennis’ life, Nova Scotia has held a special place in his heart.
Dennis and Sandra moved back to Southold in 1984 and Dennis taught at William Floyd High School and was an active and valued member of the church community.
Dennis was born in Ouray, Colorado, the son of the late Rowland and Oliver Cassell, and was preceded by his older brother Max. He is survived by wife Sandra, children Owen, Jenny and Molly, siblings Terry, Norman, Sheila and Gordon, six grandchildren and nine nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be held at 10am on Monday 26 June at St Patrick RC Church in Southold. Memorial events may donate to Unbound. Dennis will be dearly missed and missed by his wife, family and friends.
