Competitions will be held every Thursday from June 29th to August 31st, 2023.
The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is pleased to announce that the 2023 Sandcastle Competition will be held at Hither Hills State Park. Competitions will be held every Thursday from June 29, 2023 to August 31, 2023. Sand sculptors can use sand, water, and any other natural material native to the beach.
Prizes are provided by the program’s sponsor, the Natural Heritage Trust. Weekly prizes will be awarded to the best sculptor and castle in several categories.
Check in at the Hither Hills State Park Visitor Center every Thursday at 9:30 am. A $10.00 vehicle usage fee will be in effect.
