The reports were made by multiple victims from Nassau County Police Precincts 5, 6 and 8, who said the incidents occurred after soliciting people they knew through online call ads, according to authorities.

The victim said April Summers, 35, of Farmingdale, would demand extra money and if the victim did not comply, she would steal from them, attack them, threaten them and often drive the victim to the bank They were abducted at the time, Nassau County police said, demanding large sums of money be taken and handed over to her.

After further investigation, Summers was found and arrested at the Flower Park Motel on the Jericho Turnpike. Nassau County police said she was violent and aggressive as she resisted arrest.

Summers is accused of:

  • second degree kidnapping,
  • first degree robbery,
  • Three counts of robbery in the second degree,
  • Two counts of robbery in the third degree,
  • secondary attack,
  • Third degree illegal possession of a weapon,
  • level one coercion,
  • Three counts of third-degree coercion,
  • Attempted grand larceny in the third degree,
  • Three counts of grand larceny in the third degree,
  • second degree strangulation,
  • Three counts of second-degree illegal detention,
  • tier three attack,
  • resist arrest,
  • Second degree harassment.

She will be arraigned at Hempstead 1st District Court on Sunday, June 18.
