Weather permitting, Park Avenue will be closed for approximately four weeks from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. to facilitate resurfacing work.


The New York State Department of Transportation advises motorists to take the eastbound Northern State Parkway between Exit 40 (Interstate 110) and Exit 42 (Interstate 231/Deer Park Road) in Huntington, Suffolk It will run from 10pm to 5am on Monday, June 19, weather permitting, for approximately four weeks to facilitate resurfacing works.


Motorists will detour southbound 110 to the eastbound Long Island Expressway (Interstate 495) to Exit 52 and northbound 231 back to North Parkway. To enter Wolf Hill Road, detour to 110 southbound for signs to Old Country Road eastbound, approximately two miles toward Wolf Hill Road.

Motorists are urged to plan accordingly and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines for speeding in work zones are doubled. Two or more convictions for speeding violations in a work zone may result in the suspension of an individual’s driver’s license.
