Nestor Riosarvealo was driving a 2017 Nissan Sedan on South Ocean Avenue in Mascot Dock at 5 a.m. when the vehicle pulled into the water from the pier


A Suffolk County Sheriff and a member of the Patchogue Fire Department rescued a man trapped in a submerged car in Patchogue Bay this morning.


Nestor Riosarvealo was driving a 2017 Nissan Sedan on South Ocean Avenue in Mascot Dock when the vehicle left the dock and entered the water at 5 a.m. 5th Precinct Police Officer Edward Pitre and Patchogue Fire Department member Peter Feehan dove into the water, breaking one of the windows , pulled Riosarvealo from the vehicle and brought him safely to shore.


Riosarvealo, 33, of Patchogue, Officer Pitre and Feehan were taken to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue where they were treated for minor injuries and released.
