The male cyclist suffered a broken arm and multiple lacerations and bruises to his arms, legs and head, police said.
Squad 4 reported details of a car crash in Hewlett on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 8.28pm.
According to detectives, the 49-year-old female driver of a black 2020 Range Rover was traveling northbound on Franklin Avenue and a 16-year-old male teenager was traveling westbound at Station Plaza when the collision occurred.
The male cyclist suffered a broken arm and multiple lacerations and bruises to his arms, legs and head.
The victim was transported by police helicopter to Kerns Children’s Hospital for evaluation and treatment. He is currently in stable condition. The driver remained at the scene.
No criminal conduct has been attributed to the accident.
