Dorothy A. Aiello, former Cutchogue, passed away on June 8, 2023 in Peconic Landing, Greenport. She is 88 years old.
She was born in Brooklyn on July 26, 1934, the daughter of Frances and Anne-Marie (Bunciak) Haile.
A graduate of St. John’s University, she taught at Baldwin’s Lenox School for over 30 years.
Dorothy loved her children and grandchildren, golf, gardening, bridge and reading.
Her husband, Carmine Paul Aiello, who died in 2015, is survived by her children Alexandria Hundt (George Jr.), Cynthia Short (Ian) and Paul Aiello (Caroline Chiu-Aiello); and her grandchildren, Ana Aiello and Lucy Aiello.
Services are private. The funeral was held at the Sacre Coeur Cemetery in Cutchogue. Coster-Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead helped the family.
