Nassau County Police reported the incident happened at 10 p.m. Saturday, June 10 in Uniondale.
A 60-year-old man was reportedly struck by a 2018 Mercedes-Benz sedan driven by 44-year-old Uniondale resident Eric O. Whitley ( Eric O. Wheatley) driving.
The victim suffered head injuries and was taken to a local hospital in a critical condition.
Whitley was charged with:
- secondary vehicle attack
- DWI
He is next scheduled to appear in First District Court on Friday, June 16.
