As many as 34 members of Sayville High’s Class of 2023 are committed to varsity sports. It constitutes approximately 10 percent of the graduating class.
Student athletes include seven graduates of the football team, five baseball players and eight women’s and men’s lacrosse players. The seniors, who officially graduate later this month, gathered in the high school gymnasium for a commencement ceremony where Athletic Director Ryan Cox congratulated them on their accomplishments.
Student-athletes compete in NCAA Division I, II, and III sports.
