“The Discovery Guardian”, A group show curated by Natalie Baxter opens July 16 at VSOP Projects in Greenport.

Featured artists include Kelly Adlia, Courtney Childress, Victoria Darger, Dream Soul, Rachel Granovsky, Michael Johnson, Alison Kwok, Portia Manson and Rachel Young.

“The artists in ‘Finders Keepers’ collected a vast collection of consumable and fabrication materials and used creativity, masterful organization and craftsmanship to breathe new life into these relics,” said a release.

“Yarnstorming” campaign It will be held at the library on Saturday 10 June. Yarnstorming is a form of street art in which textile artists weave and crochet works to temporarily decorate outdoor objects or buildings. These works will also be on display at Southold’s Center for Advocacy, Support and Transformation building.

• A Summer Group Exhibition A reception at the new Suffolk Free Library in Cutchogue on Friday, June 9 from 5-7 p.m. Go through themes or immerse yourself in the natural world and scenery of the library gardens,” said a release.

The exhibit runs until August 31 and is sponsored by Friends of the Library.

• A show called ‘go figure it out’ On display at William Ris Gallery, James Potter, June 10-July 9.

According to a press release, the exhibition showcases “11 artists, 11 styles, 11 approaches to character creation.” Artists are Isadora Capraro, Gina Gilmour, Ellen Goldstein, Kara Hoblin, Elaine Kurie, Seung Lee, Keith Mantell, Craig Marcin, Marilyn Weiss, Sherri Wolfgang and Nina Wood.
