At approximately 3:45 p.m. on Friday, June 9, emergency responders received a call to a home in North Babylon, on Mohawk Avenue near Deer Park Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found a person dead in the backyard of the home, according to police radio communications.
The agency is sending a crime scene team to the home to investigate.
No other details were available, including the person’s sex and age, or a suspected cause of death.
