Beginning Monday, June 12 and continuing through Friday, June 16, Exit 36B in Oyster Bay (Interstate 135/Seaford-Oyster Bay Freeway) and Exit 42 in Huntington (Interstate 231 /Deer Park Avenue) will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 p.m., according to the New York State Department of Transportation.

All westbound traffic between Exit 37A (Interstate 495/Long Island Freeway) and Interstate 135 at Oyster Bay will also be closed for the same period.

Officials said the overnight closure was to facilitate bridge maintenance and drain products.

Traffic will be diverted to the Long Island Expressway during the planned closure.

NYSDOT said the closures are weather permitting.

Drivers are encouraged to plan accordingly and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines for speeding in work zones are doubled, authorities have warned.
