According to Nassau County Police, the incident happened on Wednesday, June 7 at around 5:40 a.m. in El Monte.

A 60-year-old man got into his car in front of his Fieldmere Street home when three men emerged and pulled him out of the car.

The carjackers threw the victim to the ground, punched and kicked him, police said.

One of the carjackers got into the victim’s gray 2022 Honda CRV and fled the scene, heading south on Fieldmere Street toward 106th Avenue, police said.

Two other suspects followed and fled the scene in their Toyota Camry, which police say is black and was made between 2011 and 2019.

The victim suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The police report said the investigation is still ongoing and there are no further descriptions of the carjackers at this time.
