Brookhaven Director Romaine presented SCCC Chairman Dr. Edward Bonahue with a certificate of congratulations to mark the event.


Recently, Brookhaven Town Supervisor Ed Romaine was a guest speaker at the grand opening of the Renewable Energy/STEM Center at Brentwood Suffolk County Community College’s Michael J. Grant Campus.During the event, Romaine Supervisor presented a certificate of congratulations to Dr. Edward Bonahue, Dean of Suffolk County Community College, in honor of grand opening.


Mr. Bonahue also announced a naming gift to the college in partnership with National Grid to establish the National Grid Workforce and Energy Innovation Center. Also pictured is Town of Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter.


$21.3 million Renewable Energy/STEM Center features state-of-the-art laboratories and classrooms for instruction in installation, maintenance and repair of solar, photovoltaic, wind, geothermal and other green energy technologies as well as cybersecurity, biology and labor plan.
