It happened at Port Jefferson Station on Friday, June 2 at around 10:15 p.m.
Suffolk County Police say a male pedestrian was struck by an unidentified SUV traveling southbound on Route 112 south of Rose Avenue while crossing Route 112 eastbound. was hit by a second southbound vehicle that remained at the scene.
Police have not yet identified the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office.
