Venetia A. McKeighan, 63, of Southold passed away on May 23, 2023 at the age of 88.
She was born in Greenport on May 10, 1935, the daughter of John H. Mullen and Catherine Wingate Ireland Mullen.
She graduated from the University of Miami with a BA in Education.
Venetia was Director of the Southold Town Human Resources Center for many years. In 1988, she was named Public Servant of the Year by the Suffolk Times.
She is survived by daughter Katherine M. Simpson (Rory) of Morgantown, WV; son Michael J. McKeehan (Beth) of Bronxville, NY; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren .
The Horton-Mathie Funeral Home in Greenport helped the family.
