Located at 21 South Park Drive in Rockville Center, RŌZU first opened in March 2023, but is already gaining traction for its ambience, service, and food.

The guests are greeted by two looming wide tree trunks in the center of the restaurant, in which dozens or even hundreds of flowers are planted. The walls are adorned with frescoes and multiple chandeliers hang above the tables.

For food, RŌZU offers a variety of sashimi, rolls, entrees and more.

Perhaps one of the most unique features of a restaurant is when guests order hand rolls. For all hand roll orders, RŌZU staff will come to the diner’s table to ensure everything is fresh and add customization according to the diner’s wishes.

Alana T., a Yelp reviewer from Long Beach, wrote that she was “absolutely blown away” by the food and the atmosphere at RŌZU.

“First of all, the interior design is so unique and beautiful,” she writes, before recommending the restaurant’s charred sesame edamame appetizers, spicy tuna hand rolls and the various skewers it offers, among other dishes.

“I really love it here and I’m excited to be back.”

“Service, food and atmosphere [were] 10/10,” echoed South Valley Stream’s Melissa S.

Melissa “FINALLY!!!” got the chance to dine at the restaurant and assured potential customers on Yelp that her experience “was simply an amazing time!”

In addition to dinner, RŌZU also offers weekend Japanese brunch with dishes such as soufflé pancakes, Wagyu burgers, Japanese avocado toast (wasabi and yuzu).

On top of that, the restaurant offers desserts as well as healthy cocktails and other drinks.

“We had the best time,” wrote Hempstead resident Megan G. “The place is beautiful, the food is delicious, everyone is so friendly and the service is great.”

“Can’t wait to go back.”

RŌZU is open Tuesday to Sunday. For more information click here.
