A man posted flyers at a Medford laundromat advertising a rental apartment on Sipp Avenue, according to Suffolk Police.

Police allege the man did not own the apartment, but the two families paid the scammers thousands of dollars on Tuesday, March 14.

Detectives believe the crook may have been working with another couple and that he was driving a dark sedan.

A cash reward will be awarded to anyone who can provide information leading to an arrest to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers.
