The incident happened at 9.40pm on Monday 1 May in Seaford.

Nassau County police said the 29-year-old male victim agreed to sell an $8,500 Rolex watch to an unknown potential buyer via Facebook.

The parties agreed to meet at the Starbucks parking lot at 3870 Sunrise Highway.

The victim was encountered by two Hispanic men who grabbed the watch and pushed the victim to the ground when she showed the two victims the Rolex watch, police said.

Both suspects attempted to drive away from the scene, and the victim jumped on the hood of the vehicle to stop them from fleeing.

According to police, the suspect continued to drive away and the victim was thrown from the hood, causing a laceration of his head and injuries to his hip.

The two suspects fled in an unknown direction in a black Mercedes-Benz.

The victim was treated at the scene for injuries.

On Friday, May 26, one of the suspects was arrested: Sandy Sanchez, a 26-year-old resident of the Bronx, New York City.

He was charged with two counts of second-degree robbery.

He will be arraigned at Hempstead First Local Court on Saturday, May 27.
