It takes place at Rocky Point on Thursday, May 25 before 11pm.

Suffolk Police said a 19-year-old man was driving a 2007 Honda motorcycle southbound on Rocky Point Yaphank Road, north of Whiskey Road, when it hit a rumble on the edge of the road.

The motorcyclist then lost control of the vehicle, which left the road and crashed into a tree, according to police.

The victim, identified as Timothy Ross of Shirley, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant at the Suffolk County Coroner’s Office.

The motorcycle was seized for security checks and the investigation continues.
