The Suffolk County District Attorney announced the indictment against 22-year-old Jordan Mosley of Islip Terrace for a December 2022 drug overdose on Thursday, May 25.

According to the charges, Mosley sold what he claimed were cocaine tablets to a 25-year-old East Islip man on December 28, 2022.

Later that night, he allegedly offered to sell the victim more pills.

The coroner determined the man was found dead at his home the following night after taking an overdose of fentanyl, xylazine and bromazolam.

Nearly a month later, on Jan. 26, 2023, Mosley was arrested when he was pulled over for his car windows being too dark.

Inside the car, police allegedly found cocaine, plastic bags and scales that amounted to a felony.

Moseley also has dozens of pills that look like oxycodone and alprazolam but actually contain fentanyl and bromazolam, respectively.

The district attorney’s office also claimed that Mosley had an illegally loaded revolver strapped to his waist.

He was arraigned on the following charges:

  • Third degree criminal sale of controlled substances;
  • Third-degree unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, four counts;
  • illegal possession of a weapon;
  • Fourth-degree unlawful possession of a controlled substance, two counts;
  • Level 5 illegal possession of a controlled substance;
  • Unlawful possession of firearms; and
  • Second degree offense using drug paraphernalia, two counts.

He will return to court on Tuesday, June 13.
