The incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24 in Manhasset near TGI Friday’s at 1445 Northern Blvd. when Antonio Condello, 48, of New Hyde Park, was involved in an altercation with a 39-year-old man The altercation, Nassau County police said.

“During the altercation, Condero got out of the car and removed the firearm from the trunk, while yelling at the victim and making him fear for his safety,” police said in a statement.

Condello then followed the victim into the TGI Fridays Restaurant and punched the victim several times in the face before fleeing the scene, police said.

After investigation, the police found Condelow at his residence and took him into custody without incident.

Detectives found a black firearm under the floor mat on the passenger side of Condello’s vehicle, police said.

The victim refused medical attention at the scene.

Condello is accused of:

  • The second level is menacing,
  • tier three attack,
  • Fourth degree illegal possession of a weapon.

He will be arraigned at Hempstead 1st District Court on Thursday, May 25.
