Richard H. Morse
Richard H. Morse of Eastport, NY, longtime resident of Jamesport and North Fork, NY, died Friday, May 19, 2023 at the age of 77.
Richard was born on July 27, 1945, in San Francisco, California, to Dorothy (Howell) and Louis Morse. He is one of four children. After high school, he attended Adelphi University, where he earned a master’s degree in social work. During his career, Richard has served as an administrator for the Department of Social Services and a professor at Suffolk County Community College.
Richard survived his children, Bianca Morse of Riverhead, NY, and Sander, NY, before the death of his partner Andrea Spilka Damon Morse of Sound Beach.Grandchildren Lucas Morse, Madison Morse, Chelsea Harvey, Courtney Wilder, and Caleb Kreidler; and siblings Willard Morse from Ackerberg, NY, Andrew Morse from Connecticut, and Pecony, NY odd louis blackburn
The family will receive visitors at the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold on Saturday, June 3, from 3 to 5 p.m., and a eulogy service will also be held.
