According to the notice, Mookie is not good at sports, but loves sports, and being a baseball fan is a “bonus.”
The second character is Mullin, also an 11-year-old white man. According to the casting call, Mullin was described as warm, intimidating and the most popular kid in his school.
According to the notice, Mullin is very athletic and very good at baseball.
The role required the actor to be able to play baseball and live in the tri-state area, according to the notice.
