Allison Yaris Interiors specializes in nearly every aspect of home design and home decor.

While the dream of owning a home is the ultimate goal for most Americans, owning a home that truly reflects who you are—and that truly makes you happy every day you live there—may be slightly more elusive.

However, if your home is not the picturesque display you desire, the services of a qualified and knowledgeable interior designer can take care of these issues. But trusting the right people can be crucial – enter Allison Yaris, owner of the Allison Yaris interiorShe has been creating dream homes for her Long Island clients for the past 14 years and counting.

Yaris specializes in almost every aspect of interior design. From wallpaper, furniture, tile, rugs, drapes, room layouts and artwork/accessories all the way through to completing bathroom, kitchen, bonus room and basement renovations, she’s done it all. Alison works with clients from individual rooms to entire homes.

“I can handle every aspect of home design and home furnishing, from basements all the way through kitchens, bathrooms, home offices, and outdoor living spaces,” she says. “I focus primarily on residential design, but occasionally do corporate work, and the majority of my work is through positive word-of-mouth referrals from satisfied clients.”

Yaris – whose business is headquartered in Oyster Bay Cove – noted that her typical work style includes phone conversations with potential clients followed by face-to-face meetings with clients at their homes. The initial consultation is where Allison gathers information about the room and the client—both of which are critical to her in the room’s design and outcome. Yaris notes that she likes very clean, modern and warm compositions, although she occasionally enjoys designing traditional or coastal homes.

“But for the most part, I prefer clean design—somewhere between transitional and modern—in addition to creating uncluttered spaces that are warm, inviting, clean, and bright.” says Yaris, from the conceptual design stage to As the last nail is driven in and the last coat of paint dries, the client is always fully informed of every step of the design and construction process.

“Clients are involved in every step of the process,” she said. “For example, when choosing a sectional chair or dining room chair, the client knows what the furniture will look like, what the fabric will be, the color of the wood, what the light fixture will look like, and the size. Everything.”

Another way Yaris involves clients in the process is by presenting design boards; using her artistic talents, she can sketch conceptual designs and even render 3D computer models containing all elements of a proposed room remodel to ensure there are no surprises.

“I’ve never had a client let me down,” she explains. “Often it’s just the opposite… I tend to exceed my clients’ expectations.”

Once the design aspects of the job are complete, Yaris has a reliable network of contractors and subcontractors that she can recommend to clients to carry out the work; however, if a client has a favorite contractor, she Happy to work with them too.

“I do have some contractors that I have a really good working relationship with, so that makes a lot of our work very seamless,” she said. “I also sometimes work with other people’s tradesmen. For example, I recently worked with a client in the bar area and in her living room, and she had a plumber she liked and just wanted him to be in charge, so I’m very flexible.”

Yaris notes that she derives great satisfaction from being able to use her impressive artistic talents to improve and enhance her clients’ living spaces. She said it was important to live up to the trust they had placed in her, and all the hard work she had put in over the years to make her clients’ dreams come true was worth it.

“It feels great to work. I love being creative, and I love making people’s dreams come true,” Allison said. “Starting a project and remodeling a space that someone now loves to have in their home or room is very fulfilling for me. It makes me happy and I love giving clients a beautiful space that they will appreciate for years to come. “
