All four workers were arrested during a compliance inspection of several businesses in Suffolk on Wednesday, May 17, according to Suffolk Police.
Of the eight businesses audited, investigators said employees at the following Bay Shore stores were arrested for selling electronic nicotine products to minors:
- Bay Smoke Shop on Union Avenue; arrested was Raza Hassan, 23, of Bay Shore
- Vape Guru Smoke Shop On Bay Shore Road; arrested was Ameen Ramsaran, 22, of Deer Park
- Coast Stationery & Gifts on Pine Aire Drive; arrested was Lalit Chabra, 42, of West Islip
- Mo Conveniences Smoke Shop on Fifth Avenue; arrested was Gamal Al-Malaiki, 44, of Brooklyn
All four suspects have been charged with dealing with children illegally. They were later released with live tickets.
