Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) is working with the Nassau County Police Department 2nd Precinct to help residents at the Syosset Public Library at 225 South Oyster Bay Road during the “Shed-The-Meds” event Throw away unneeded medication Tuesday, May 16.

Residents will have the opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted prescription medications and/or expired drug sharps and other pharmaceutical waste from 5pm to 8pm on Tuesday, May 16.

“By providing residents with a convenient opportunity to safely dispose of medications they don’t need, the Shed the Meds campaign makes it easy for us all to protect the environment and prevent prescription drug abuse and misuse,” said Legislator Drucker. “I encourage everyone to take a look in their medicine cabinet as they do their spring cleaning and take advantage of this important service.”
