The break from boxing to “Protect and Serve” in Suffolk County didn’t slow down Alex “El Toro” Vargas at the Huntington Paramount ring on Saturday night.

And this time, the new SCPD officer faces off against his most experienced and strongest fighters yet.

Entering the ring with a 12-0 record, Vargas TKO’d Mauro “El Rayo” Godoy in the fifth round, who went into the night with a 37-8-1 record and 18 KOs
